Hi, I responded to your last post regarding where to release the turtle. It's not clear from your posts whether your planned release point is in the turtle's home range. If not, releasing it is likely to do more harm than good. Please check out this article before making any decisions:

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but as the McKeever article makes clear, releasing box turtles outside of their territories is often tantamount to signing a death warrant and can harm existing populations.
